Yes. RoadChapter is free and ad-supported. For free you can search and view all 39,000+ places, save 10 favorites and plan one trip with up to 5 stops. RoadChapter Pro removes the ads and lifts those limits.
What does RoadChapter Pro cost?
RoadChapter Pro costs €4.99 per month or €29.99 per year. The “Friends & Family” plan for up to 6 people costs €49.99 per year. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
How does RoadChapter plan a whole trip automatically?
You enter your start, your destination and how far you want to drive per day. RoadChapter splits the route into daily legs and suggests fitting pitches along the way for every night. Swap out any place you don't like.
Which vehicles is the app for?
Motorhomes, campervans, caravans and tent campers. You store your vehicle's height, width and weight, and navigation calculates the route accordingly.
Does navigation take my motorhome's dimensions into account?
Yes. RoadChapter routes by your vehicle's height, width and weight, avoiding low bridges and restricted roads. RV navigation is part of RoadChapter Pro.
Can I avoid tolls, motorways and ferries?
Yes. Toll roads, motorways and ferries can each be excluded from the route with a single tap.
How many places are included and where are they?
The database holds 39,571 places. The focus is Europe – over 8,800 in France, over 5,000 in Germany, over 2,900 in the Netherlands, over 2,600 in Italy, over 1,900 in the United Kingdom, over 1,100 in Spain. On top of that there are over 6,000 places in North America and further destinations worldwide.
What types of places are there?
Campsites, motorhome pitches, farm pitches and wild-camping spots. Every place shows photos, reviews, amenities, prices and opening hours.
What is TravelBuddy?
With TravelBuddy your co-pilot controls the navigation from their own device, so the driver is never distracted. TravelBuddy is free and works without Pro.
Which languages is the app available in?
Seven languages: German, English, French, Polish, Italian, Spanish and Dutch.
Which devices are supported? Is there a RoadChapter for Android?
RoadChapter runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 15 or later. There is currently no Android version.
How do I cancel RoadChapter Pro?
The subscription runs through your Apple ID. Cancel it in the iPhone Settings under your name → Subscriptions → RoadChapter. Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
